Sports Blast 3v3 Tournament Rules

Length of regular games: 2 halves at 12 minutes each (running time clock) w/a two-minute break in between the half. Games start as scheduled – no grace.

Home teams are listed first on the schedule and get the kick-off.

Teams will switch sides at halftime and the opposite team will receive the kickoff.

Substitution is to be made on any dead ball by notifying the referee

Field Dimensions: 40 yards long by 30 yards wide.

Players are not allowed to score or defend the goal from inside the goal box area (6ft x 10ft w) Any player who touches the ball inside the goal box will result in a penalty. Defenders will concede a goal to the attacking team. Attackers will concede a goal kick for the defending team. Players are allowed to run through the goal box, just not to touch the ball.

Goal kicks are taken from any point on the endline.  Corner kicks are taken from either corner designated.  

All dead ball kicks are indirect, except penalty kicks and goal kicks

No throw-ins, all out of bounds restarts are from a kick-in where the ball left the field.

NO SLIDE TACKLING. Slide tackling will result in a penalty kick for the other team.

Penalty kicks are from midfield with no defenders. Both teams must be at midfield.

Goals must be scored in the offensive half of the field. No long ball goals. The ball must be touched in the offensive half of the field by either an attacker of defender to count.

Points for a match are as follows:

Win: 3 points plus a point for each goal scored up to 3, Tie: 1 point, plus a point for each goal scored up to 3. Loss: 0 points.  A team will receive an additional point for a Shutout as a Bonus.

Advancement Tiebreaker will be decided by 1.)points 2.) head-to-head competition 3.) goal differential 4.) fewest goals allowed 5.) a coin toss

Finals:

Length of Finals: 2 halves at 12 minutes each (running time clock) w/a 5 minute break in between the half.

Finals home team will be designated a coin toss.
